DAY 13 Let go upper body yoga release | illuminate 30-day challenge 2026

Welcome to Day 13 of the 30-day challenge. Today's yoga session is done largely from a seated position, focused on softening and opening up through the upper body, as well as mobilising and opening the hips.

Catching up on January’s new sessions whenever I can, and once again blessed by your words and wisdom after a wonderful practice. I really appreciate your purposeful explanations of various poses - it really helps to get it just right (or almost?) and feel a difference immediately. There is so much more I could thank you for, but I don’t want to seem creepy with an excessively long comment! 😂 I’ll just say thank you for being YOU, Paula!

I love, love today's practice. How opening in the body and the mind it was for me today...letting go of whatever I didn't know was there, but didn't deserve to take up space in my body. This practice of yoga as a teacher truly supports my efforts to those I teach...college students. It helps to support my own reason for beginning my own practice 14 years ago (when it was purely physical to alleviate stenosis in the body) but changed significantly beyond that realm.' Thank you Ms. Paula for your offering today...the ending Dharma was beautiful. Namaste.

Hello Sheryl, thank you for sharing these words, they really resonate and I'm sure they will for others as well. How wonderful that you can care for yourself which then allows you to do the wonderful work you do. Lots of love, paula xox

Another beautiful one! Can I not feel guilty I skipped the one before since it's longer, I'll do it tomorrow?! I think you'll say it's OK! Have a nice day or evening.

It's interesting that you mentioned our wholeness in the end of this practice because, strangely, during the final part of my shavasana, I was wondering about the fragility of us human beings, how fragile we actually are and how easy to be damaged and hurt, both in the body and the mind. It's reassuring you mentioned our wholeness that remains untouched, no matter what happens outside. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

Hello Annalisa, thank you for sharing your insight. The fragility of being human is so true....often heartachingly so. Yet at the same time there is something within us that is constant, that remains whole and connected and I hope that our practice of yoga brings us back to that xox p ❤️

As always, somehow you manage to have perfect timing! My upper body was very tense this morning, and this couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you for the practice 🙏

It is through this neck and shoulder work that I found your teaching, Paula! Years ago. Thank you so much for this patient and mindful practice. It was exactly what I needed. Namaste.
