Thank you very much for this beautiful practice, it's such a joy and a pleasure when I notice you have uploaded a new class! Just one question, if I may. I've got problems with seal. I love the pose but every time I am in it I've got to back off and switch to sphinx because seal is really painful for my lower back. Any suggestion for improving my posture which is possibly not correct and prevents me for improving in this pose? Thank you in advance šš»

Hi Annalisa, thank you for your lovely presence and feedback here. This has been a common question so I intend to do a little tutorial videos sometime soon. It's a strong back extension so totally fine to work into sphinx instead, however if you want to try a couple of things: 1. Move hands further away from you (to decrease the extension in the spine) 2. Engage the glutes, imagine trying to lift your two frontal hip bones (trying to lengthen the lower back). We want to try and distribute the extension throughout the entire spine, rather than overload the lower back (the lumbar spine) 3. Use a bolster by placing it underneath the ribs for extra support (in restorative/yin practices we stay in the posture longer, so may not be suitable for this specific practice) I hope some of these tips help xox p
